Holy Communion

On Sunday morning I had my First Holy Communion. First I woke up at 7.00 am and then my sister in-law made a bun called a flower bun in my hair. Then she curled the rest of my hair. It looked very pretty.

After that she helped me put on my clothes. My dress is white and it has beads on it. After that I put my cardigan on.

A lady called Tina helped me put my Holy Communion badge on. Before I went to my teacher, Pat my sister in-law, helped me put my veil on. It was very long and it has a circle on the top and flowers around it. I put it around my bun and she put my curls in the front.

 After that it was time to take the Eucharist to the altar. I saw all my aunts and uncles and I saw my cousin Grace and Alex with their mum.

Father gave out the certificates and the name he called first was me. I stood up and went to father. I got my certificate and went to sit down again. After that he called the other people. When we all got our certificates we ate the bread and drank the wine.

Then I went to my aunt’s house to have a feed. My cousin gave me fifty dollars and my little cousin came to me and gave me fifty dollars as well. I had a feast after church and I played outside. After that I went back home feeling tired so I went to sleep.
